New Year, New You! |
 |
| New Year is the perfect time of the year to change things in your life for the better. It could mean changing what you do, quitting old habits, growing up a bit or even changing your attitude. Have a think about what you would like to change in your life and go for it. For example your self-confidence. |

Your level of self-confidence can show in many ways: in your behaviour, your body language, how you speak, what you say, and so on. But you can work on it.
First, look for a self-confident model and learn from them. What is it they do that makes them confident, how do they act?
Then focus on your achievements rather than your failures. If you do find yourself thinking about how you failed then look at what you managed to do right and how you could correct what you did next time.
Start feeling good about yourself and act as if you were self-confident! Stand up straight and smile!
Focus on who you are and what you like about yourself. Why do your friends like you?
Prepare thoroughly for any task so that you can be sure you are ready.
Set reachable goals for yourself and break difficult tasks into smaller steps.
Reward yourself when you succeed no matter how small the achievement.
Finally, don’t be too competitive or compare yourself with others. Be yourself and accept that life is not a race against others.
You’ll find that being self-confident is much easier than you thought! |
