He says: 'It's not you , it's me..."
He means:
Uh oh, not this old line. When a guy trots this one out, it means he doesn't want to go out with you anymore, but doesn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you the real reason. It may not be original but at least he's trying to spare your feelings. The jerk.

He says: "Cor, how fit is Angelina Jolie?"
He means:
Cor, how fit is Angelina Jolie. There's nothing more or less to this one - he's simply stating an obvious fact, not trying to compare you to her, have a dig at you or say that he prefers her looks to you yours. Guys aren't that clever you know and in this case, what he says is what he means!

He says: Are you going to the party this weekend?"
He means:
I'd really like you to go with me but I'm too shy to ask you out on a date properly so I hope you'll take the hint. If a guy's interested in you, sometimes he'll try and ask you out in a roundabout way that spares him any chance of being rejected.

He says: 'If you really liked me, you would..."
He means:
I'm a thoughtless bully who thinks it's OK to try and make my girlfriend do something she doesn't want to do just so I can brag about it to my mates. Avoid at all costs...

He says: "McFly are so sad...'
He means:
All my mates think I listen to nothing but Razorlight and Kaiser Chiefs all day long but in actual fact, I do secretly like some of McFly's stuff - it's just that I'd rather die than admit it!

He says: "Arsenal should always stick to a 4-4-2 formation and Thierry Henry was definitely offside against United...."
He means:
Blah blah blahdy blah...nope, sorry, we've got no idea what he means on this one. Ask your dad...

He says: "I'll call you."
He means:
Tricky one this. In some cases he will actually mean he's going to call you however, sometimes this one means the exact opposite. He could be giving you the brush off but just can't think of a more original way to do the deed. Only way to tell if he says what he means on this one is...if he calls you or not!

He says: "I love you..."
He means:
He loves you, right now. Guys aren't as good at girls at playing emotional games so if he says the 'L' word, there's a good chance he means it. He might not mean forever but when he's in the moment, he really means he's got very strong feelings for you. Aw, bless!
