Go for walks
On a crisp winter’s day, work off that Christmas dinner by dragging your family off the sofa for a stroll. Think of it as a chance to get a bit of quality time the olds and your bruv and sis too, before you go off to spend all the rest of your time with your mates.
Be active
Get on the dancefloor when you’re at a party! There’s no better way to burn off those extra calories you’re consuming. Instead of hanging out at your mate’s, head to the local ice rink for an afternoon - look for the outdoor ones that many towns set up for the winter. If you get the opportunity, go skiing or snowboarding– it’s a great way to get fit and have a laugh.
Eat slowly
It takes 20 mins for your stomach to tell your brain when it’s full, so if you eat more slowly, your mind and your stomach are more likely to be in tune with each other. When we eat too quickly we often eat too much and end up feeling bloated.
Enjoy it!
Food is meant to make you feel good so if you do eat too much, don’t feel guilty. Everybody eats too much at Christmas and you can always work it off later…which leads to….
There’s always the gym
When you emerge from the over-indulgence of Christmas, remember you can always work if off by getting on the running machine at the local gym. Make it one resolution you stick to and you’ll be able to eat whatever you like for the whole of the coming year!
If your period’s due over Christmas a bit of gentle exercise will work wonders for your period pains. And don’t forget to keep yourTampax® Compak Fresh handy! |
