So you’re in a relationship? Congratulations, especially if it makes you both happy! But there are some rules that are good to follow if you want your relationship to really work or shall I say – work the way you would want it to ;-)
First of all, as you have probably noticed, guys and girls tick differently.
Guys are so apt not to show their feelings and when they don't get what they want, they don't really voice their concerns. Instead they usually keep it bottled up and then start acting in weird ways that are hard to handle.
Chicks, on the other hand, don't need any coaxing to open up! Most girls wear their heart on their sleeves. But talking to your boyfriend usually isn’t as easy as pouring your heart out to your best friend.
The answer is to open up and talk to him. Tell him exactly what is on your mind. After all, not everyone is a mind reader.
Say what you mean!
If you need more hugs, more time alone, sloppy wet kisses, a trip to the zoo or a day at the beach, say so.
If something is bothering you, don't complain about it sarcastically. The old saying, "Treat people the way you want to be treated" is true. And the last thing boys want is being bitched at.
Think of how you would want him to tell you something and talk to him in the same way. If you talk about what you feel in the right way then there’s a good chance he will get the message.
Don’t forget, boys have the same needs as girls, they just communicate them differently. And he will probably be glad to know what you really want rather than trying to guess himself.
