Anna says: Firstly check you are using the correct absorbency for your flow. It’s best to use the minimum absorbency. 

 

It’s also helpful to know that the Tampax regular applicator and Pearl applicator tampons expand in slightly different ways inside the body. Regular applicator tampons expand lengthways and the Pearl applicator ones widthways. Try a different type to see if they fit your body better. If you remove a tampon after eight hours and white fibre is still showing, you should choose a lower absorbency.

 

Leaking can also occur if the tampon is not inserted correctly. Check the diagram on the leaflet inside the tampon pack for more info about using a tampon correctly.
